Harvest Blessings
We have had a lovely start to the day today, with a special Harvest Celebration. The whole school walked through the lovely autumnal colours of the village to St Helen’s Church. Each little hand clutching gifts of fruit, vegetables and even the odd pot of home-made preserves. It was a superb sight to see.
This was followed by a special service taken by Reverend Katie, where we all gave thanks for how fortunate we are. Class 1 created lots of different words made from Harvest, whilst Class 2 shared their new knowledge of the Spanish words for different fruit and vegetables. Finally some members of Class 3 read out their beautifully crafted Autumn Poetry. A big thank you must go to Reverend Katie for looking after us so well and also to all our parents and friends who donated such a massive amount of produce.
