Derwent Pulse Project
Today we welcomed Judy Hawdon into school to introduce the art side of the Derwent Pulse Project. We all came to school in our oldest clothing and went down to the river to play. We looked closely at the colour of the river and decided that for our art project we may have to use some artistic licence, otherwise our project would just be brown! We discussed how the river looked when it was shallow and in the deeper parts; what we could hear; what we could see; what animals and wildlife might be found along the river and finally we generated a lot of adjectives to describe the different aspects of the river. All this work we will use next week when we start to produce our massive piece of artwork in school with Judy.
Most of all we had lots of fun messing about in the river!
