Tour of Britain

What an excellent event for the first week back at school!

The Tour of Britain came through the village this afternoon, and it was great to take all the children down to see the race fly through.  From the waving police motorcyclists, the team cars and cyclists themselves, it was a buzz and it’s clear what an amazing and huge event it is.  I hope they come through again in the future.

The cycling theme continued after school with the Grindleford Goat Hilly Billy and the weekend ahead features the main Grindleford Goat sportives.

The Peak Park is really becoming the home of cycling and we’re glad to see so many of the children in the saddle too at an early age, perhaps we’ll some of them in a peloton in the coming years….
