Bon Voyage Mrs Callis
As some of you are already aware, Mrs Callis has been trying to leave us to investigate pastures new in foreign, hot, climates for a while now.
After working at Grindleford Primary for over 20 years, she has finally managed to escape our clutches!
Tracey didn’t want a fuss about her leaving and made me promise that I wouldn’t have a collection or anything like that. She was due to work alongside Mrs Ibbotson until last week.
Unfortunately, Tracey developed shingles and has been unable to come back into school for the last couple of weeks, so her quiet escape plan has worked very well, albeit painfully.
Tracey is currently in China, enjoying a Christmas break with her family. She then has plans to live in Australia for a few months, with her husband, before permanently relocating to Portugal.
I am sure that you will all join with me in wishing Mrs Callis all the best in the future and every happiness in her new adventures. She will be greatly missed by everyone here at school.
Thank you for all your hard work and many years of dedicated support and encouragement for the school – the place will be definitely different without you.
