In the style of Jackson Pollock
Artist Club tonight was really good fun but, oh my word, we did make a mess! Every week we study a different artist and then have a go at recreating their style of painting. This week I thought it was a really good idea to study Jackson Pollock……ooopsie!
We started off by finding out lots about his life and why he began to paint in the ‘drip’ style. We also found out that because he died so young (only 44yrs old) his paintings sell for vast amounts of money.
After this we moved outside to the top playground (thank goodness!) and had a go ourselves. What do you think? Would you pay millions for our art work?
We also really apologised to Richard, our cleaner, for all the extra mess, sent an apology text out before the group were even picked up and are hoping that a nice bit of rain will wash the playground! I wonder who we can study next week?
