Grindleford on Tropical Seas
We are all getting very excited about the upcoming Carnival! Class 2 and Class 3 have been busy working hard on our massive fish, which will help to decorate the village during Carnival week and on the day itself. They are made out of the willow from our school garden, which has then been paper mache and painted up. We had some extra specialist help from three lovely Teaching Students from Hope Valley College too. The following are just a small taste of the fishes ready to go swimming in the village.
What do you think? I am sure you will agree with me that these are ace!! I am hoping that we will get them back at the end of Carnival week so that they can ‘swim’ in our garden for the rest of the summer. Gardening Club have been working hard on their potted plants using recycled tins as well, which alongside the bunting, really finishes off our Carnival ‘summer’ atmosphere.
