Green Day
A big thank you to everybody who supported us with our Green Day today. The Eco-committee at school have been working extremely hard to start our solar panel fundraising off with a bang. The children all came dressed in green to show their support, we had a cake sale to raise money and all the children had fun creating green crowns and banners in the garden.
We are now lucky partners with Solar Schools (only 20 other schools were selected), who are helping us with ways to raise our target of £12,000. Take a look at our new website which is now live! There is a blog on the website which will be updated regularly and you can donate money here too if you wish.
The total raised today was a massive £108.80 so a huge thank you to everybody. We will be holding a number of fundraising events during the year. The children are really excited and enthusiastic about creating their own renewable energy in school.
Spanish Assembly
A massive well done to the children in Class 2 and Class 3 for their Spanish performances in yesterday’s assembly! The children in Class 3 performed El Nabo Gigante (The Giant Turnip) followed by Class 2 who performed Los Tres Cerditos (The Three Little Pigs). The children did superbly with their pronunciation and everybody remembered their lines – ¡estupendo! To say the children have only started learning Spanish in September, this is an achievement to be really proud of. We also have Class 1’s performance to look forward to – who will be giving instructions of how to plant a sunflower, which will be posted on the blog next term.
