The day started with a little hole of hope – through it we could hear the cheep cheeping of a little chick and see a tiny beak taking small chunks out of the shell.
Then, just after lunch there was a large crack:
Afterwards, during a Computing lesson about video editing, it all started to happen! As the kit was all set up, all of Class 2 got to watch the hatching ‘live’ on the whiteboard using the Apple TV. Talk about being in the right place at the right time! So we are proud to be able to share the moment with you:
It wasn’t long before Chick1 (name to be changed tomorrow we expect) was drying out nicely and exploring the new surroundings. Well, and sleeping too. Tough day for one so small.

I thought many of you might be interested to see an old shot of the village, your houses may even be there. There is no actual date written on the back either, so I’m not sure of the precise year.
