Physical Education
Physical Education at The Peak Federation is designed to be fun, engaging and age-appropriate for all primary pupils. We focus on helping children build confidence, coordination and lifelong healthy habits through a wide range of activities, from ball skills and movement games to athletics and gymnastics. Lessons are planned to support every child to participate, improve and feel proud of their progress.
Our approach is inclusive and diverse, ensuring that children of different abilities, backgrounds and interests can take part and succeed. Teachers use clear routines, positive encouragement and adapted challenges so that everyone can be active—whether your child is a confident participant or still learning new skills. We celebrate effort and teamwork, creating a respectful environment where children learn how to work together and support one another.
We also value competitions as a way to motivate and inspire pupils. Through age-appropriate events and inter-school opportunities, children can practise sportsmanship, goal-setting and resilience while enjoying friendly rivalry. These experiences help pupils apply skills from lessons in real contexts, and they strengthen community links across The Peak Federation.
