Greetings from the Chair of Governors

Hello and welcome to the Grindleford School online prospectus.  We hope you are considering the school for your child’s education.

Whenever I, or other Governors, visit the school we are always impressed by the hard-working, calm and happy atmosphere we see.  We know the whole staff are working hard to make the whole school experience challenging and satisfying, but at the same time ensuring the pupils are happy, motivated and safe.  These themes were commented on by the Ofsted inspector.

I believe the biggest testimony to the school is the pupils themselves, and you will find them quoted all over this prospectus.   After having read the information, should you have any further queries, do not hesitate to contact the Headteacher or ask for a school visit.  Then you can see it in action!

I truly believe the future is a genuinely exciting one for all involved with the school.
