Pupil Premium

The Pupil Premium is funding allocated to schools for the specific purpose of boosting the attainment of pupils from low-income or disadvantaged families. The funding is based on children who have registered for a free school meal at any point in the last 6 years, children who have been in care for more than six months and children whose parents are currently serving in the armed forces.
Total amount allocated to the school for academic year 2014/2015: £5,200

How will the money be spent?
• Additional Teaching Assistant support

This additional provision includes:
• One to one work during school times
• In class targeted support, either directly by the teaching assistant or by the class teacher whilst the teaching assistant leads another aspect of the lesson

The impact of Pupil Premium money was:
50% made accelerated progress within reading, 50% made expected progress within reading. 75% ended the year working above age-related expectations, 25% working in-line with age related expectations.
25% made accelerated progress within writing, 25% made expected progress within writing. 100% ended the year working just below age-related expectations.
75% made accelerated progress within maths, 25% made expected progress within maths. 25% ended the year working above age-related expectations, 50% ended the year working in-line with age-related expectations.

The Pupil Premium for 14/15 will be used to continue to build upon this success and especially target progress in writing.
