As a small village school we are usually able to accept children seeking places within the school’s admission limit of ten per year group (the school is deemed to be ‘full’ at 70, unless special circumstances can be demonstrated to the County Council). The Admissions Procedure to Derbyshire County Council Maintained Schools is clearly explained in the ‘Information for Parents’ booklet, published each autumn by the Local Education Authority. A copy is available from school. Information can also be found online here on the Derbyshire web site.
Children who have received early years provision or attended a maintained nursery school or class will go into full-time education in September within the school year that they become five years old.
Derbyshire have produced a superb set of parent guides that are a must-read for anyone who is about to send their child to school: Ready for School in Derbyshire
Parents wishing to seek further information about the school or to arrange a visit should contact the school office.
