PTFA
Parent, Teacher and Friends Association (PTFA)
Any parent of a child attending the school is automatically a member of the PTFA, and we welcome extended family members or local supporters of the school, too.
We meet once every term to talk about how to support the school and how to fund-raise and supply things the school might need for the children, such as the mud kitchen, days out, whiteboards and other equipment and experiences.
We meet by video call at about 8.30 for an hour as we find most of us have had chance to put the kids to bed, but if they are around that’s fine too. You are welcome to keep your camera off and just listen in, whatever works best for you and your family.
Filling the current official positions are:
- Chloe Holmes – Chair
- Emma Walker – Secretary
- Kaori Carter – Treasurer
The main way we raise money for the school is through the Grindleford Gallop, an annual fell race which is staffed by volunteers from the school and local community. It’s great fun to volunteer at and the whole family can get involved. You can find out more here: http://www.grindlefordgallop.co.uk/
You are so welcome to come to a meeting, it’s a nice way to feel involved and you only need to take on tasks if you have capacity to do so.
